The entry point to the Esterlin range, and already a statement of the house's distinctive philosophy. Founded as a cooperative in 1948 in Mancy on the southern slopes of Épernay, Esterlin is today the only cooperative headquartered on the famous Avenue de Champagne. The Brut Éclat is Meunier-dominated, 60% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Noir, blended with 30% reserve wines drawn from the solera that Esterlin has maintained without interruption since 1972. No malolactic fermentation, since 1976 at the latest, a commitment to freshness and complexity that few houses have maintained as consistently or as long. Bottle-aged for a remarkable 58 months. Awarded 97 points Platinum at Decanter 2025.
Tasting notes: Expressive and balanced, white flowers, pear and mirabelle on the nose with a buttery, honeyed touch. On the palate: fresh, smooth and long, with the complexity that comes from years of lees ageing and the density that only a solera reserve can provide.
Food pairing: A refined aperitif. Also excellent with fish dishes, the house suggests enjoying it from aperitif through to the fish course.
