Collection: Chaléroux-Ghys

Champagne Chaleroux-Ghys is a small, family-owned champagne house located in the village of Cerseuil, in the Vallée de la Marne region of Champagne, France. The house was established through the union of two winemaking families, Chaleroux and Ghys, both with deep roots in viticulture. This partnership brought together generations of expertise in grape growing and winemaking, leading to the creation of their own label, Champagne Chaleroux-Ghys.

The vineyards of Champagne Chaleroux-Ghys are primarily planted with Pinot Meunier, a grape variety that thrives in the Vallée de la Marne and is known for its fruitiness and roundness. In addition to Pinot Meunier, they also cultivate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, allowing them to produce balanced blends and a range of champagnes that reflect the diverse terroir of the region.

The house remains committed to traditional winemaking methods, including hand-harvesting and the use of sustainable viticulture practices. They prioritize the health of their vineyards, using environmentally friendly techniques to ensure the long-term sustainability of their land. The winemaking process is meticulous, with extended aging on lees to enhance the depth and complexity of their champagnes.

Today, Champagne Chaleroux-Ghys is still run by the family, with the newer generation continuing the legacy of producing high-quality, artisanal champagnes. Their wines are known for their elegance, freshness, and the rich expression of Pinot Meunier, a hallmark of the Vallée de la Marne.

Though relatively small in scale, Champagne Chaleroux-Ghys has built a reputation for its authentic and well-crafted champagnes, appreciated by enthusiasts seeking boutique, terroir-driven wines that embody the spirit of the Vallée de la Marne.
