Low stock: 1 left
The most distinctive and prestigious cuvée in the Philippart range. The Fût de Chêne is an equal-parts blend of all three Champagne grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, aged eight months in oak tanks and four years in bottle. The result is a champagne of rare character: an amber colour, rich fruity and woody aromas, and a presence that makes it as much a collectible as a pleasure. Presented in a true tin capsule and a wooden gift box. Recognised with a Gold Medal at the Gilbert & Gaillard Guide 2024.
Tasting notes: Amber gold colour with fine persistent bubbles. On the nose: impressively fruity and finely woody, the oak ageing adds depth and complexity without dominating. On the palate: generous, rich and long, with layers of fruit, wood and warmth that linger well beyond the finish.
Food pairing: A champagne for exceptional occasions. Excellent with aged cheeses, foie gras, duck confit and rich poultry dishes. Also memorable alongside a fine chocolate dessert.
