Collection: Esterlin
Champagne Esterlin is a cooperative champagne house founded in 1948 in the village of Mancy, near Épernay, in the heart of the Champagne region. The house was established by a group of winegrowers who came together to pool their resources and expertise with the goal of producing high-quality champagne while maintaining control over the entire winemaking process. Since its founding, Champagne Esterlin has grown into a respected name in the region, known for producing a wide range of well-crafted champagnes.
The vineyards that supply Champagne Esterlin are spread across several prestigious terroirs, including the Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, and Vallée de la Marne. This diversity of terroir allows Esterlin to work with all three main Champagne grape varieties—Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier—giving them flexibility in creating blends that showcase the unique qualities of each region.
A hallmark of Champagne Esterlin is its emphasis on sustainability and environmentally friendly practices. The cooperative’s growers use sustainable vineyard management techniques, and the house has earned certifications for its efforts to protect the environment and preserve the health of the soil.
Esterlin produces a variety of champagnes, including non-vintage, vintage, and special cuvées, each crafted with a focus on balance, elegance, and expression of terroir. The wines undergo long aging on the lees, which adds complexity and depth to the finished product.
Today, Champagne Esterlin continues to be a cooperative effort, with its members maintaining a commitment to quality and tradition while also embracing modern innovations in winemaking. The house’s champagnes are enjoyed both locally and internationally, known for their refinement and consistent quality across their range of offerings.
