Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Côte des Blancs - Grand Cru

Champagne Claude Cazals has been a family house in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger since 1897, and for nearly 130 years it has devoted itself to expressing one of the most revered Grand Cru terroirs in all of Champagne. Le Mesnil-sur-Oger is celebrated for its deep chalk, its extraordinary minerality, and its capacity to produce blanc de blancs of remarkable tension and longevity.

The estate is now in the hands of Delphine Cazals, who continues the tradition with a blend of respect and innovation. The house works with both ancestral and modern techniques: Gyropalettes for riddling (notably one of the inventions of Claude Cazals himself), thermo-regulated vats, and oak barrels for specific cuvées. The approach to viticulture is integrated and increasingly environmental, with the gradual introduction of grassing between the rows.

The centrepiece of the estate is the Clos Cazals, a rare walled parcel in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger that produces a single-vineyard champagne of exceptional character. It is Cazals at its most concentrated: pure Chardonnay, pure terroir, and the unmistakable signature of a house that has spent over a century learning to listen to its land.
